Wittnauer

Wittnauer Electro-Chron Ref. 4750 (c. 1960's)

Welcome to the future...well the future of the 1960's, that is!  Wittnauer was one of several watches to incorporate the first Swiss Electric movement, introduced in 1961 by Landeron.

Aside from running on a truly revolutionary movement, one of the most exciting features of this watch is the completely unique design of the hands, where it celebrates its electric innerds on the outside.

CONDITION

This particular example is in exceptional condition. It includes the original stamped crown, and a sharp and seemingly unpolished case. There are a few surface scratches on the edge acrylic crystal that should easily be buffed out with some trusty polywatch. Some scratches can be seen on the case-back.

The watch comes with a black leather strap. The service history of the watch is unknown, but it is running as it should.
