This oversized 1940s Tissot chronograph houses the heavily modified Tissot movement (cal. 4584) bases on the Lemania 15CH column wheel movement. It’s the same chronograph architecture that powered some of the most respected tool watches of the era, including military-issued Omegas. But here, it comes wrapped in a distinctly elegant Tissot package — with early post-war charm and a shockingly modern 38mm footprint.
The dial features lume applied Arabic numerals, two well-balanced sub-registers, and a crisp outer tachymeter ring, all framed by a prestine chrome-plated case that wears beautifully today. The oversized mono-pusher and original flat crown complete this package, packed with vintage character.
Inside, the movement is clean: gilt bridges, a blued column wheel, and all the classical Lemania chronograph DNA you could ask for. Tissot’s Cal. 4584 variant, while distinct and heavily modified in house by Tissot, still carries the core architecture of thear famed Lemania movements, which powered military chronographs for NATO forces — making this both an elegant and mechanically impressive piece.
Even better, this piece is paired with a Tissot-signed vintage black leather strap, in a textured epi-grain style that suits the era and adds an extra dose of originality.
