Marking 55 years since Seiko’s first diver, the SLA039J1 pays homage to the legendary 1968 Professional Diver’s 300M, Seiko’s first high-beat diver, while reimagining it through the brand’s most advanced materials and finishing. Faithful in form yet modern in execution, this re-creation embodies the spirit of exploration that defined the original Antarctic-tested Seikos, now rendered in Ever-Brilliant Steel, the world’s most corrosion-resistant steel alloy.

Produced in a limited edition of 1,100 pieces, this Hi-Beat diver features Seiko’s famed Caliber 8L55, a 36,000 vph movement developed and assembled by master craftsmen at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio. The sharp Zaratsu-polished case and rich metallic blue tones give this piece a subtle, modern elegance, balancing tool-watch toughness with collector refinement.

CONDITION REPORT AND CONTENTS

This example is in remarkable near-new condition, showing only a few faint hairlines and flea-bites on the case/case-back, but no major dents, dings, or surface abrasions. The blue silicone strap is completely unworn, with the fastener still with its original plastic wrap, never peeled off. 

This is a full set, including:
