Up for sale is this pristine and historic PAM425. Purchased originally from a Canadian AD in 2018, this Panerai appears to have hardly been worn. There is little to no wear on the case, and the calf skin leather strap is in excellent condition with only a minimal degree of warping due to infrequent use.

The watch comes as a full set, including the black outer box (including the branded cardboard shipping box with barcode stickers), the wood inner box, micro-fiber cloth, hang tag, and both the warranty/certificate, and instructions booklets.

The condition of the entire set reflects the high level of care this watch has received under its prior ownership. If you are looking for a great example of this watch, you will be thrilled with this package.

The extended warranty expires May, 2026, so there is a good 4 years of manufacturer's protection remaining.

ABOUT THE PAM00425

Panerai is widely recognized as a pioneer of early combat dive watches, going as far back as the 1930’s. The PAM425 pays honest tribute to those early designs in which Panerai combined a Rolex Oyster (waterproof) pocket watch, with soldered-on wire lugs. With a case diameter of 47mm, this is no doubt a large watch. However it wears quite modestly on the wrist, and due to the low-profile nature of the wire lugs, the watch wears smaller. With a 6.25 inch wrist, I rarely venture beyond 43mm territory. But as you can see in the photos, this watch wears beautifully.

As a further homage to Radiomir DNA, and what makes the PAM425 particularly unique, is the embossment on the dial of the Siluro a Lenta Corsa (SLC or "Slow-running torpedo”). A small underwater propulsion vehicle designed to be piloted by two elite crewmen (Frogmen), equipped with oxygen rebreather apparatuses, and of course Panerai issued dive watches.
