VINTAGE WATCHES

THE VINTAGE WATCHES IN THE WATCHABLE SHOP, IN MOST CASES, ARE SEVERAL DECADES OLD. THEY ARE DELICATE MECHANICAL OBJECTS THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN WORN AND USED BY THEIR PREVIOUS OWNERS.

    Each watch that passes through the Watchable shop is reviewed and tested within my limited scope of watchmaking expertise. If any major functional issues are identified, they will either be clearly indicated in the listing, OR the watch will be serviced to be brought up to a reasonable functional standard. 

      Unless listed as "serviced", the watches service history is unknown, and it is the buyer's responsibility to have the timepiece inspected, and serviced by a professional watchmaker. 

        Vintage watches ARE NOT like modern watches. They have lived a life, and often have the scars to show for it. It is normal for a mechanical watch to gain or lose 1-2 minutes, and it is advised that ANY vintage watch is kept away from all water sources, despite what the watch may say on the dial or case-back. These pieces have not been pressure tested for water resistance, unless otherwise stated. 

         

        SHIPPING

        At this time, we are only fulfilling orders and shipping to the US and Canada. All shipments are shipped through FedEx, and all watch shipments are trackable, and fully insured

        • Please allow 1-3 days to process the order. 
        • Once order is processed please allow an additional day 1-3 for shipping. 
        • On international shipments, any duties and/or custom taxes charged will be at the expense of the buyer, and no allowances will be made on the price pf the watch to offset these fees. We are obligated to declare the full value of the watch in order for the package to be fully insured. 
        • Watches are packaged with the utmost care and adequate padding. 

         

        RETURNS

        • Returns are accepted within 3 days of the watch being delivered if you are not satisfied.
        • Return shipping will be at the expense of the buyer, and and must be fully insured. A 10% restocking fee will will be deducted, unless there is a mechanical defect that was not identified in the original listing.
        • In order to receive a credit or refund, the watch must be in the same condition as it was when packaged.
